fonts-takao-mincho software package provides Japanese TrueType font set, Takao Mincho Fonts, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-takao-mincho
fonts-takao-mincho is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-takao-mincho package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-takao-mincho *
You will get with fonts-takao-mincho package name, version, architecture and description in a table
